eupterus

[aro ahoy]

hi , my eupterus has been in my tank for about 2 weeks now and all he does is hide in his cave. is htis normal or just acclimating

It all depends on their pesonality. I have had quite a few of these before. Some are out looking for food and swimming all day long. Some just hide all of the time.

The one I have now just hovers underneath a piece of drift wood and only moves when it is feeding time them goes right back.

I find that they do tend to get more bold with size though.

my euruptus has gotten to about 5-6" and is pretty wide but will barley ever come out.

i was keeping one before.
since there was no danger for him in my tank,
I kept a bare tank for it to be more friendly.
