Are there any commonly kept fish from Europe? It is the only continent(besides Antarctica) that I don't have any specimens from that I am aware of

Bitterlings, orfe, tench, roach, topmouth grudgeon, European minnow, sterlet and of course the wels catfish.

Yep but they are not exactly tropical fish if I'm not mistaken.

There all cold water fish typically kept in ponds or found in rivers or lakes throughout Europe , wels have got to monster sizes in France and Spain partly due to the Warner climate , can't really think of any that do well in tropical setups though or do well in tanks unless huge setups

Yeah, I found some fish from Italy on seriously fish but not really suited to my setup. I am still holding out hope for something to complete my "U.N." community tank but it is not exactly weighing heavily on me

the reason you're not finding any tropical fish from europe is that europe has no tropical zones, and thus no freshwater sources that fit the bill of tropical freshwater, as previously mentioned there is quite a bit of cold water fish from europe though and some fitting of the monsterfish term, such as sander lucioperca, lucius esox, the aforementioned wels, and eel - and my personal favorite that does pretty well in hot water; perca fluviatilis.
