euryale ferox

This may be in the wrong place, but here goes......
I was given three starts of Euryale ferox lily (they are related to victoria lilies), can anyone give me infomation on growing these, and as they are tropical, how to over winter them?
oh, yea they are covered in sharp spines. I figured out the handle with care part...

Thank you, portabuddy, but its the same info I've found already, was really looking for someone with first hand experience with this plant....

well what kind of info where you looking for, it seems prety straight forward, place seed in pot, place under water and wait for lili pads to sprout, ideal water temp is around 80*

I was wanting to know if anyone else had any experience with these plants... and if so if they had any advice about them.
The three plants I was given, already have a number of leaves each, so they are well past the seed stage.
