I live on the east coast of florida and as most of you have heard were about to get rocked by hurricane Irma. So i have evacuated further inland with all my animals and fish (5 cats, my dog, a bearded dragon, 2 ferrets, 2 african clawed frogs, and 2 firebelly toads) I have my fish in a 10 gallon until I return home. Should I run my heater and air pump or powerhead when the power goes out. I have a power inverter in my car so i can keep it running after the electricity goes, but I can only plug in 2 things.

Air or power head is must have you can cover your tank to isolated and keep water temp stable and run heater if needed but it will eat your car battery like no tomorrow unless you're planning to keep your car engine running all time.

If I had to choose one which should it be?
Fish can handle some temp different but they can't live without oxygen so your water must have some circulation and an air pump would be good and it doesn't take much power to operate. You just need to cover 4 sides of your tank to keep temp stable so it doesn't drop too fast and shock your fishes. Also, 10G tank quite small and water condition easy goes out of control so pay attention on your fishes, and do daily water change if you can until thing back to normal.
