Hi, I'm new to this site... I have this question. I'm in the process of changing over from a reef setup to freshwater. I have a 55G tank w/ 20 G sump. I plan to revamp some dividers in the sump to make it into wet/dry but my evaporative make-up water system is automatic and gets water from an RO/DI system. Can I use that water for make-up as long as I use tap water for water changes? I will probably take the DI filter out and use it just RO. Any suggestions would be great.

Adding RO/DI to top off the tank would be perfect. Since when water evaporates it leaves behind all the minerals, adding RO/DI will keep the tank water parameters the same.
