What are some ways to heat the whole tank if you have small heats? Would powerheads be your key?An placing the heater next to it? Im asking cuz my 150w jag is only running 5 mins after i plug it in at temp setting of 90 so im running two 50's that seem to allways be on

What size tank is this ? Dont jags have a good warranty? The obvious plan would be to locate the heaters on opposite sides of the tank. Also make sure there are no extra holes in the top. If its on your 60 gallon I would say depending on the room temp they should be always on. I would recommend at least 200 watts for a 60 gal.

what about a 20g n 50g. An what do you mean other side of what intakes outs phs?

I think tcarswells just means if you have two heaters just place one on the right side and one on the left side. Simple as that, or maybe I'm wrong, lol.

For the 20gallon just get a 100, and for the 50 get a 150.

Yeah its pretty simple lol Like I said keep the heaters spread to the sides to help heat the tank evenly :) Thanks for clarifying that packer,

For a 50 id go 200. But this all depends on your house temperature and how much the heater has to work to keep the tank at proper temp. :)

Well i went to wallmart n picked up a 200w whisper heater fr 24bucks... Its a little stubby but right now i was only able to keep the tank at a safe 84F. The heater is places on the ground in the middle I also have a power head blowing right at the area above it. Im the booklet that came with the heater is said circulation was the key to heat the tank. So how come i can get this tank to 88?
