I was thinking about doing a shark pool eventually.
I'm completely new to sharks, and was looking for some help.
I was hoping to do a bonnethead, and if possible a black tip.
Any other fish that would be safe?

I have most of a garage to do this in.
Not sure if it'll be one car, or two car, so lets just assume it's a one car. :)

I'd suggest about a year or two of saltwater experience prior to this.
Then I'd suggest about a year of working with easier sharks or small rays in a large pool (bamboo, catshark, epps...).

A pool big enough for a bonnet or a black tip reef will be larger than a single car garage.

After you do that, pool set up is easy, just spendy. Bonnets do well with many fish and rays. Black tip reef tend to pick off fish from time to time.

Best bet is plan the tank for the shark you want at the end. Build it, but start with the easier sharks and fish first. Then move up to the hard to keep animals.

Agreed - a space the size of a single car garage won't cut it for either a Blacktip Reef or a bonnethead.

The minimum for a bonnethead -needs to be at least 500 sq.ft of floor space (roughly the size of 2 car garage). While the minimum for a Blacktip Reef really should be at least 700 sq.ft (or roughly the size of 3 car garage).
