How about swallowing it whole?

Found this last night at 8:00pm, it is now 12:30pm. Is the SMB going to be alright? And yes, that is a Yellow Perch in his mouth, lol. (Guess who is being moved out of the tank today!)

It should be okay. I have 2 SMB's and both have done this before and both are doing fine.

I had a LMB that came with some minnows and he ate the minnows the same size as him. He did fine.

Should be alright. Don't try to remove it, the dorsal spines on the perch will be facing backward so if you pull the tail you'll just impale the bass. He's on his own at this point.

Bass are gluttons, they are well known for biting off a bit more than they can take on. They have this weird case of thinking their body is much larger than their mouths.
