Ever catch your bichir trying to eat something to big

The other day I saw my 20" congicus with one of my 8" widebar silver dollars in his mouth. He had a hold of the widebar on the top of his head. Don't know how he was able to do that must of come down on him from above. I should of took a picture but my first instinct was to pound the tank with my fist and he let him go. Crazy!

If my armatus leaves a piece of food behind the bichir usualy tries to eat it, but hasn't learned he can't eat food larger than his own head yet.

my 16" endli ate my 6" IT. discovered it when i turned on the lights. my endli biting my IT head first i had to remove it from its mouth deliberately. i have no pics though.

a 2" endli with a 2" senegal twice and the same endli at 5" with a 2" silver dollar, it's quite the jerk!

6" ornate with a 4" archer fish in its mouth. Kill two of them trying to eat them

11" Senegal eating a feeder goldfish that was quite large, only got the tail off hahaaa

mine got a gold fish and had it all the way down to the head from the tail then just spit it out. dont know why should have been able to eat it.
