I'd like to hang a pool table fixture above my 110g. Anyone ever see that before. if so, what kind of bulb would I go with?

Thats a really cool idea.
I've seen similar setups with track lighting and LED spotlights/floodlights it created a really cool focused beam effect with some shimmering, if that's what your in to.
you could do high wattage cfls in a cool bright white for better coverage too

Looking at PAR 38 12watt floods at home depot, I don't have a reef or grow plants. So, IM just looking to shimmer up the tank. Only prob is these bulbs are only 5000K.
Maybe check online? I was going to do a DIY screw in LED bulb fixture (similar to your idea) and I found the local stores to be really expensive like $20-30 a bulb.. when I could find no name Chinese bulbs in the spectrum I wanted for less than half that price. I'd bet the pricy stuff comes from the same place anyway lol.
