Many many moons ago I used to manage a restaurant well the owner was on us managers because someone was stealing lobster tails and New York steaks for months (we did monthly inventory and the numbers were way off) one night after the kitchen closed my fellow manager and I were out back smoking and noticed boxes of lobster tails, steaks, potatoes sitting by the back gate. We decided to swap out those boxes with boxes of empty beer bottles, trash and anything else we could get our hands on in a quick second. We went on to close the restaurant and didn't think nothing of it. Well when a cook didn't show up the next day we asked what happened and it turns out he got pulled over for a broken tail light, he was on probation and could not have any alcohol or anything with him. The police could smell the beer from the empties through the boxes and searched his car and found some drugs well needless to say he went to jail... I felt bad because had we not swapped the food for the empties he would have never got caught....
