So I was cleaning one of my canisters today and I realized there was something moving around in it! So I dumped everything out in the sink and there they were!:WHOA: 6 half inch to inch long juvie green terrors from a spawn I had a little over a month ago! I was surprised they lasted that long in there and grown! Since they had to be pretty small to get sucked into the intake. But I put them in another tank and am planning on growing these lucky babies out since their breathrens all got eaten in the CA/SA tank:(

You guys ever find anything interesting while cleaning out your filters?

found my albino sen in one of the ac110's once but nothing to your extent. that's crazy.

I remember years ago I had a dojo loach that I would think found a way out of the tank to its death only to find it behind the filter cartridge on the HOB

I was servicing a tank for someone, and when I opened the canister filter (Eheim 2217) to clean it, I found 7 or 8 Kuhli Loaches swimming around in the bottom section. They were fine, if a little skinny.

I almost always find fry when I clean out my AC 110's or Eheims. I just keep an old colander handy when I do filter maintenance and transfer the 'kids' back to the old homestead.

I always find snails, leave the eggs in and then feed them to my fish...

I have found a feeder or 2 in my sump.

These GT's are plump though, Im sure they did things they werent too proud of to survive in there haha

at the Pet Supermarket I worked at we had a small "sump room" and one time while changing the filter pads, we found a 6" 4 line pimelodus, which we definitely didn't expect to find in there (couldn't figure out how it got there)

well after claiming it was dead 4-5 tims i found peacock eels each time in my filters.
