like i mean........

put it this way, i have all my important things squared away, like school, my insurancce payment on my truck, you know? but i cant seem to expand on anythings else, like ive been wanting to take up keyboarding and add new and replace old parts on my bicycle, and i need to take it in to have my gears checked out. But everytime i save up for that whoops! time to get more supplies for my monsters :D :irked: and its kinda annoying. oh well i guess, gotta make sacrifices for these living breathing wonders

anyone know what im talkin about? or can relate?

nup! I think I can use the fish as an excuse not to do things, but I know it's things that arn't *that* important.

:P

Yes I do as a matter of fact. I stopped drinking and now spend about 1/4 of the money Im saving as a result on my fishkeeping. I also watch alot less TV. Makes me neglect my cannabis hobby a ton too. So all in all, Im probably improving as a person . Doesnt cut into surf, sk8ing, Baja trips, painting, ladies, playing rock and roll, or any of my other hobbies.

maybe i jsut need a higher paying job then

it comes down to you need a better job

I often find that doing water changes on my 4 tanks takes hours and hours and hours...and in that way yeah i guess my fishkeeping hobby can kinda keep me from doing other stuff, i find doing water changes very boring and time consuming, but i know they gotta be done- plus the tanks look a lot better for having large once weekly water changes.
I buy a lot of treats for my fish all the time, like the latest newest fish foods or new plants or peices of wood to go in the tanks for the fish to explore etc, doing stuff like this all the time shrinks my wallet a lot, my fiance can't understand why i spend so much money on my fish, but the fish seem to notice and enjoy all the little things i do for them so it is worth it :) .

no not really. other than being gone for too long but i can be gone for a week w.o worrying,

I need 48 hour days.....

yes... and sometimes I wish my fish would go on vacation so I could leave without pulling my hair out after a week of no fish mantainence.

it keeps me from having friends :irked: jk. It definitely shrinks up my wallet and is the reason I have a job this summer.
