In highschool I had a jaw breaker in my mouth (the marble sized ones, not the huge ones) in probability and statistics class. I usually don't bite and break them right away, I suck on em for a bit. Well, after few minutes I swallow my saliva and *gulp* it goes into my wind pipe. I can still breath but my airway is definitely obstructed. I try to stay calm and breathe deep and slow. I don't wanna swallow hard because I'm afraid it'll go deeper. Class is almost over, so I try to wait it out and go to the nurse. Didn't wanna tell the teacher because eating in class meant ocd (on campus detention). Bell rings, as I'm walking outta class I involuntarily swallow and it goes deeper. Then suddenly my airway's completely blocked and breathing stops. I panic and for few seconds it felt like minutes.
Then my friend notices me turning red, as he's about to question me, POOF, the jaw breaking goes shooting out pegging my buddy right on his head and I gasp for air. I guess your body reacts and forces it out. I didn't even do that, my body went on auto pilot. Scariest seconds of my life. I could've easily choked to death. That whole week my mind was just numb and in shock. Since then I never play around with balls in my mouth. Unless they're from Ben and Jerry's
