If I had any luck today it was bad...

I decided to get my water change done tonight, got everything out and got the living room tank fixed up-I swapped out a Penguin 200 for a Magnum H.O.T. 250 both have been running for a month or so, they should be seeded well enough. No problems...

I had also planned on swapping the stealth heater into this tank for astetics, cool, no problem...Pulled from the 125 in the garage and swapped...

Come back and I see this big gash on my bowfin's forehead in the 125?! WTF! Moving stuff around exposed a nice sharp corner on my cheap overflow I got from a local...Crap! Flap of tissue swaying in the current, deep and about 1.25" from just between the eyes straight back...Swimming fine and everything, but looks like crap!

I continue on with the water changes, filling the 125 with fresh water and I see a flash of black behind me and hear flopping.... WTH!? Bala shark on the floor! jumped through a just under 1" opening of the lid to allow the Python to aerate the water into the tank! Fumble around and grabbed it just before flopping onto the cement floor.

What the heck! Swimming sideways and upside down before the bala shook it off... No missing scales, but man, what was that all about!

All my fish are not liking each other it seems - alot of nipping back and forth, has to be spring in the air!

I'm done with this-time for bed.:(

Yes, i think we all have one of these days every once in a while... its natural... just keeps us going...

Wow. Mine isn't as bad. One day while i was running late for class my betta jumped into my open backpack and into the folders....needless to say I missed the bus XD. But wow, I've never had that happen.

Today I was bagging my CLs because the buyer was coming over to pick them up, but two of the smaller ones had disappeared...I shook the massive decoration but they wouldn't come out (it has holes at the bottom). Literally took me more than 30mins and sadly one died upon arrival to his new home T_T

Also had the random day when two fish died in less than 24hrs.... T_T

It's all part of the learning process i guess...

Better day today.

My bowfins chunk of flesh has fallen off and it looks way better than it did, healing but still angy...

The bala is very twitchy lately, I am working a deal to get 2 more of about the same size as this one is, maybe a couple tankmates will help calm this one down...

I also covered the sharp cornered overflow with a fiberglass filter-and-heater-holding-fake-tree decoration I got from another deal... I took a notch out of the entire back of this thing, as my overflow was the same width and fit this 'tree' under and in front of the overflow...It is heavy and wedged in place, should be fine, but time will tell.

I also moved a my senagal bicher back into the 125, he swims alot and my bowfin likes to swim in unison with him and my palmas...Weird I know, but they need a 'zen' state, lol...
