If I had any luck today it was bad...
I decided to get my water change done tonight, got everything out and got the living room tank fixed up-I swapped out a Penguin 200 for a Magnum H.O.T. 250 both have been running for a month or so, they should be seeded well enough. No problems...
I had also planned on swapping the stealth heater into this tank for astetics, cool, no problem...Pulled from the 125 in the garage and swapped...
Come back and I see this big gash on my bowfin's forehead in the 125?! WTF! Moving stuff around exposed a nice sharp corner on my cheap overflow I got from a local...Crap! Flap of tissue swaying in the current, deep and about 1.25" from just between the eyes straight back...Swimming fine and everything, but looks like crap!
I continue on with the water changes, filling the 125 with fresh water and I see a flash of black behind me and hear flopping.... WTH!? Bala shark on the floor! jumped through a just under 1" opening of the lid to allow the Python to aerate the water into the tank! Fumble around and grabbed it just before flopping onto the cement floor.
What the heck! Swimming sideways and upside down before the bala shook it off... No missing scales, but man, what was that all about!
All my fish are not liking each other it seems - alot of nipping back and forth, has to be spring in the air!
I'm done with this-time for bed.
