Well--I just bought one on Saturday because it looked cool, and now I can find anything about it online.

It is a little fellow, only about 1/2" long and it has the patterns of an elongatus, but brown and light brown.

The tank said, "elongatus avanti (rare)".

He's hiding in the rocks or I would post a pic. I'll ask the dealer to ask the breeder, but thought someone here might know.

Thanks!

Avanti would be the location variant, All information for the regular elongatus would apply, however the colors or patterns may be slightly different on your fish, and you might have a hard time finding more if you want to breed them.

Never heard of that collection point.

Nope, its news to me. I am usually suspect of anything advertised as F0, F1, rare collection point, etc., but I am fairly jaded.

Was is more expensive than a regular elongatus? Its probably way to small to notice any color variation at this point.

I had a friend in high school whose father owned a 1978 Studebaker Avanti II. It was an interesting car to say the least.

I work with a guy that has 3 Studebaker Avanti.

Thanks all. I've not heard back from the dealer yet. I'll email him again. No matter what, it was a cool looking fish. Maybe when it's gets larger I'll post a photo for ID.
