I really don't understand why you would want to. But if you really do want to, go ahead and give it a try they are probaly not to difficult to care for and it's easy enough to find small ones.
thye will get way to big for nomal aquaria and you would also need heavy fitration the bilogical waste that a carp can produce is crazy bit to answer your question tons of people do it they keep a variety of fancy carp called kois it would nt be hard to do just i guess i dont see the point
I wouldn't keep a carp in my native tank (partly because they aren't native) but if you want to go ahead, keep in mind that they get huge so unless you have apond to put it in I would stick with smaller species.
