In God We Trust
Had this gar for around 10 years. 5-6 years ago he got part of his jaw broken off by a large tigrinus, didn't think he would survive but he did. Got to feed him smaller pieces than the other gar. But has been pretty healthy since

However for the last month he has gotten blisters all
Over him especially around his gills.
What do you think this is any ideas at all?
I've leaned toward possibly bacterial but all
Other fish including rays are healthy. He just in the last few days started acting interested in eating again but as soon as food gets into his mouth he struggles and spits it out.

Looks like Dropsy....man,how big was that tig?

Could be dropsy. It's like each scale itself is swollen. Hope it gets better.

Yea I thought so too... as a matter of fact I thought about taking him out and putting him out of his misery but he ate a small very small piece of fish a couple days ago! Today he attempted to eat and seemed to struggle getting it to stay in his mouth and finally lost it..
