leptobarbus hoevenii - cigar shark, red tail barb, red tail grass carp. etc...very cool, old school fish you don't see much now days. they grow huge to 36" plus, nice colors, and peaceful
Or often called MAD BARB, not sure what the origin of that name came from, probalby because they can jump!
oh yeah can they jump, wakes my dad up in the middle of the night when this guy gets scared and crashes up into the glass covers. He bought them at petsmart as the "fish of the month" sold em to us as minnows
I have had 2 of them before a tankbust, a very lively shoaling fish that grows pretty big,am plannin to have it again
ya the good'ole redtail tinfoil barb or as pet smart like to call them Golden Sharks ha ha ha and they normally grow to 12"+ in the average home aquarium...
