Ever try this to your background?

I'm thinking of painting one of my tanks that I'm breaking down. Anyone ever paint a faded blue background? Kinda like the ocean depth? Lighter towards the top and fade to dark blue towards the bottom?

It will never look how you want it to. I can almost gaurantee it. Fades are tough. Good luck though.

i have one and its ok. it's one of those vinyl background. it works well for black fish but still prefer plain black overall.

i tried the lighter version on of my tanks i used to grow out my FH
he looked nice in that tank

I believe I've seen the laminated aquarium backgrounds available in gradients like that over here, can't say I've ever seen it on a tank though, update us with photos when you get around to it.

I'll stick to flat black

if you are using spray paint then it is pretty easy, and if it doesnt come out the way you want it then you can strip it and try it again.

i've only seen the types u buy at the store. but painting it yourself might b a challenge. why not just buy da ones in a roll?
