everyones favorite tankmates

hey all i was just wondering what everyones favorite ray tankmates are? i love my big female motoro and wana devote the tank to her and start getting away from cichla. its just too much competition and they are too wild when they flare and play chicken she freaks out and buries herself. so i think the time has come for the 13"azul and 2 9-10" peru monos go. o and cant forget the all mighty pic for clicks lol bad shot of her though o and if it matters the tank is a 300.

I'm wondering the same thing... and I didn't even have any pics for my thread.

Not sure where in Jersey you are, but the Aquarium Center in south Jersey had some motoros with angel fish and discus. It would be nice to hear what other people have to say from experience though.
 
im thinking some geos severums,just some more peaceful stuff that wont stress my ray out when/if they flare and chase eachother i mean shes the largest in the tank but the biggest chicken lol
 
I like the idea of the Arowana and maybe a Tigrinis but I would be worried that the Aro would have a go at the rays and if the tigrinis would add too much to the bio load and have too soft skin in the event of a sting from the rays?
 
I have a CK with my ray and he is very laid back. The only thing he does is come out sometimes and take some of her blackworms. She is also very active even when he comes out to do a lap around the tank. The only thing is you will need something for him to hid in. I have a slate rock cave in a corner for him and that is where he resides most of the time.
