my friends oscar tries to attack everything except her. no one or other animal can go near his tank without him going mental. he has only started doing this recently, he normally hates the washing basket, my friends chihuahua and bites her mum. the oscar is 3yrs old & in a 180ltr tank (47 gallons??) nothing new has been going on in the house either. any suggestions for his sudden behaviour change?:screwy: crazy fish.
 
Probally tank size but I would verify your water temp. Maybe it is warmer then usual fish becomes more active notives small tank and attacks looking to take over larger tank?

How big is he? it's probably because, unknown to your friend, the oscar has claimed territory outside of the tank as well as inside due to the size of the tank, so it thinks of you guys as invaders. So it naturally tries to attack you and drive you off. Putting it in that larger tank will help a lot. :)
 
i think he is 20 cm or a bit bigger , ive put my hand up against the tank to try and get a sort of measurement. he hated the tape measure and tried to eat his owner when she stuck her hand in . he is a ratbag , but cool at the same time!

Wow, never heard of such an aggressive oscar :)

Well, if it's 47 gallons, that is waaaay too small for an oscar, a better tank should do well.
