So I started out a heavy hitter tank early this year and it has evolved over time. The specs on the tank are 8'x33"x24" with a 75 gallon sump, uv steriziler, and 40gal/day drip. Water change 1-2x week at 60%. The original stock included 3 chanchos, 2 red devils, an oscar, 1 jag, 1 texas, 1 flower horn, 3 festae, 2 trimacs, a jack dempsey, 1 brehordi.... Well over the last year here are the changes...
1. Trimacs gone because they were nuts, insane aggression even at a small size
2. 2 festae given away as they were getting outgrown and one had his tail bit off
3. Chanchos all turned out female and were donated to a local pet store
4. jd died I believe it was the jag ramming it and busting its swim bladder
5. Brehordi has the same fate as the jag
6. Added 7 small chanchos, hoping to grow out 1 male
7. 1 red devil given away
8. added an amarillo and a midas
9. came home from vacation to a dead festae on the floor and jag...
10. Added 2 new festae and an archara catfish
So that leaves me with the following stock in order of dominance approximately 10 months after starting...
Flower horn, massive...just massive his kok is the size of a baseball

My oscar
A couple chanchos...hopefully 2 males
The tiny festae
My plans are to continue thinning as they grow leaving one of each fish type and likely rehousing the oscar and texas, as I'm guessing eventually the other fish may become too much for them to defend against.
