Thanks for sharing! I was at the Mall of America over Thanksgiving week and visited their aquarium. I paid extra for the behind the scenes tour and saw they had a tank of freshwater rays. What surprised me is that they allowed their rays to hybridize, unlike this facility. I will have to agree that I am not a fan of all the hybrids and respect that they keep only females for that reason.

The Andes rose and isolated Amazon rays about 13-25 million years ago ( by all eye witness accounts LOL)
not 100 million...but otherwise....
I am a little surprised she was off on that, but she is a biologist not a geologist so perhaps I am just being pedantic ( so what's new? LOL)
