All his talk of clown loaches got me interested... Could one of the pet store runts really grow into one of his behemoths? We'll now we'll see. I picked up my first clown loach today- a oddball puzzle piece. He seemed extremely stressed in the bag, but stabilized quickly and is looking brilliant again. [Pics later.]

I've read some info on them, but would like to get some feedback as to how I can fatten this guy up more quickly. Thanks in advance!

How big is your tank? Bloodworms and blackworms are great.

For starters, always keep 3 loaches as the minimum number. Remember that loaches are sociable fish so keeping one or two is a bad idea. Start with 3 and add more if you think space permits it. As for feeding, if you have garlic extract, lacing the foods with it can help stimulate its appetite. Providing several hiding places can prevent it from getting distressed until you can add more loaches.

Do quarantine every new loach you get before introducing them to the main tank.

Thanks a lot ewurm. :p He's from Indiana, so this is going to make my hoarding a little harder now. :D

Don't worry JD, I'll only hit Indy on my way to and from Louisville. ;) I claim the upper north bit of Indiana though! :D
