I have a 6" pair right now with a 9" pair arriving tomorrow. Pretty mellow so far with the smaller pair. Kind of like a Festae in behavior. Cool fish.

Both pairs and some other goodies I posted in another thread came from Discus Origins. High quality fish and a cool guy to deal with. I recommend him. My Atros were a full 1.5" bigger than advertised and were eating right out of the bag.

I have a 7.5" Female who is fairly outgoing. A little less outgoing then Festae IME. Very cool fish with cool patterns. They grow slowly but can reach 12-14" eventually. Beware of their aggression once the lights are torn off. They will seem peaceful during the day and murder at night
I have 2 6" males & 1 4" female, I have to divide one male because he will kill the other two. They are all in a 180 gallon tank.
They are not as outgoing as the Festae, I have a pair of them also, although not in the same tank, although I use to have them all in a 360 gallon tank together.
I have 8" male and 2 5-6" females in separate tanks currently. The male is very outgoing and dances/begs constantly when I approach. Females are a little more reclusive at the moment. Interestingly enough, 1 female has red halfway up her sides while the other just on the belly. Could be a regional variant?
