ive know for a long time that theyre the smartest cold blooded animals on earth (especially b&w tegus) but i never thot about asking if anyone has experienced their true brain power
i mean, since the average person probably thinks of reptiles as "dumb" animals and that they only function on instinct, this could help deny that, i know its not true of reptiles

Crocs and their relatives hold that title. Second teids are as smart as any varanid ,iguanid or large scincid (but realy varanids are the smartest lizards
). Now how smart are these big lizards? Very smart. I would say they are as smart as rat.
They are capable of distinguishing people and associate them with diferent experiences, they are capable of notorious learning including training by their human companions and very good adaptability to their evoirement. These guys are smart
