Hi all
I'm hoping for some tips on how to diagnose why one of my Discus seems to be producing excessive slime. The fish is eating and pooping normal, but sometimes is antisocial, especially when slime is heavy. The fish is in a 60 gallon with 8 other tankmates that are doing great. I've read slime often clears just by upping the amount of water being changed, which I have been doing, and it does seem to get better, but the slime never completely leaves and comes back strong till the next wc, and now I think it's taking a toll on the fish. I was going to try a salt bath, this morning, but I'm out of salt. So I'll do that this evening. If that doesn't clear it up, I'm going to want to medicate. Any thoughts on medication? How do I determine if I have a bacterial or fungal infection? Thanks a bunch guys
