Exchanges... grr.

So I was wondering if anyone knew if this school SRJC (Sarangoon Junior College)does student exchange programs? seeing as how I am in a Jr. College here why not try one? I ve been online trying to find all these programas and I feel like my brain will explode. I know my school does exhagnes, but I cant find a school there that will take someone from my school :swear: NUS angers me. All becuase my stupid school isnt in the "SEP" programs. What about oppurtunitys for others! :swear: I wanna do something over summer or Fall term and I dun wanna go to Japan or Hong Kong. (no offense). I wanted to go there b/c I dunno I just do.. I dont need a reason! Anyways I cant find anything on their webpage about it. I tried finding the lady who does programs here but she is on a far far away campus :( if not anyone know of any good exchange programs??? I am so bored of the US and no offense to Europe peeps but I wanna go to Asia, well you get the picture. Anyways this just came to me after getting an e-mail for exchange programs and normally if I am set on doing something I dont give up utnill it fails, I even begged North Carlonia lady to let me in their summer program to nus I meet the requirements but it happens to be the on program they have that isnt offered to other us students only their students :swear: all their other programs are offered to anyone in us in a jr college or univ. :swear: why not that one. :(

I did an exchange program through my school with Sophia University in Japan. It was a greatr experience. Here is their Webpage.

It's a private Jesuit University and is a prestigeous school too. Their classes are all in English as well, so all the Japanese students I met there spoke perfect English and some of them didnt even have an accent and sounded like the had lived in the USA before.

I Highly recomend Japan over Hong Kong. In fact I long for the day I can afford to go back to visit Japan. :(

Thanks I will look into it. I really wanted to go to the Phillpines but b/c I live at home my parents agreed to let me go depending on cost and location. My dad wont let me go b/c his friend just got back and told him about a bunch of kids with m16... dern it. So then I decided I wanted to go to Singapore I am in an Asian Studies class and we had just gone over the Thai, Sing and Phil. and so that half sparked my intrest. So now I really really wanna go. Japan sounds like alot of fun though plus it would be awesome to go study and stuff in another country.

Thanks for the Link! Looks like a good school to go to, also by what you said. Its a plus that they speak english, or Id fail the first day! But same prob as the other ones, if you go you have to be attending the partner schools and my school has no partner school in Asia only in Europe. :cry:

Apparently I need to go bizatch out the lady who is in charge of this stuff at my school cuse thats not cool.
 
lol whats funny is the guy who just came back isnt from there but he said he didnt have alot of prob. its just not safe or something... I dunno. I have alot of friends from there that said it was a beautiful place. Ne who he agreed to let me go to Japan/Singapore/Certain parts of China or HongKong... seeing as how they would be paying for the most part the extra fees... I kinda have to stick in their choices. I did find that SMU will take me if I my school apporves.. June 30 is the deadline for applications.

Anyways I prob. talk to you about it later on im. you have aim?
 
I didn't know you were from the Phillipines, Trust. I have alot of friends from there and I hear the same things from them, "Don't go there unless you are with friends who live there". I was gonna go 2 years ago but my money disapeared in other ways. I have seen pictures and it looks beautiful. I plan on going some time.
 
Is Tokyo a good place to go? I find alot that do exchanges there.

Yeah I am from the Philippines. What you see in pictures is not the REAL Philippines. The real Philippines is full of crime and poverty. It's really sad and heart breaking. Your friends are right. Don't go there unless u have friends there. But a better way to say it is, Don't Go Unless U Have To!
