Took a trip to see Mel's setup with dmopar74 today. I believe Mel is the first one in the states to have exC. ornatum. The photos aren't great, the tank they're in is quite dark.

Beast of a 12" uro. 13 years old I think.

Eventually he's going to have the dovii pair in one 600 gallon, umbee pair in another 600 gallon, and the rest of the fish are going into either a 10' (or 12') X 4' X 3' he'll be building in his garage soon.

how are the ornatum doing? that uro is ridiculous and the umbee is awesome looking.

They just got moved to a larger tank about a week ago. Me thinks he has 3 male or 2 females (or the other way, I don't recall). Hopefully they breed for him soon.

i hope so too, i would love for these to get into the hobby. from pictures i've seen they're amazing looking. in the video on youtube i think he said they acted a lot like festae is that still holding up?

Yes, they look and act quite a bit like festae. From what I've seen (only watched them for an hour) I didn't see much aggression between the 5.

Where did yours come from? Oliver as well? How many? What size?

yes from him we got the last of them 5 as well and around the same size as when Mel first got them although I see his have put a bit of size on since than. They are very hostile towards each other from what we have seen even in a large tank. I for see it will be quite a challenge to get them into the breeding nature with each other, but we shall see.
