Any suggestions on a starter breed of tarantula? I see them all the time on here and in Germany and it has my interest peaked.

If u like arboreal tarantulas I would go with a pink toe if you like land tarantulas the I would say a curly hair or a Chilean rose

Which would be out and about more often? I have a spare 20 gallon long, but would like to be able to see the T when I walk by

A 20 gallon long is going to be overkill for all but the largest terrestrial species. Keep in mind that you'll have to start it out in a much smaller enclosure if you get it at a small size.
