I'm getting my x3 Goldy Pleco this Friday. Anyone have good advice or tip on how to care for these guys please let me know. Thank You

Are the Goldy pleco hardy? do they make a good algae eater in the tank? are they generally peaceful with other goldy pleco in the same tank?

They are hardy. I've never lost one to disease (but 1 > 10" to fighting). They don't eat algae (they are carnnivores). They are fairly peaceful with others (except L114) I have 4 together in the same tank. Feed them NLS and spirulina for fast growth.

You may want some API General cure on hand, or easy access to a LFS, if this fish develop some parasite or fungal issue from the stress of shipping etc (or were they quarrantined by the vendor?): http://www.apifishcare.com/Products/Product.aspx?ProductID=62
