Exo terra silk plants

Hi just a quick question are the exo terra silk plants aquarium safe? Anyone use them? Reasons for asking are 1.silver dollars are eating all my live plants and 2.one side of my tank is getting quite a bit of algae on so wanted to create some dappled shade

They're fine. I've used them plenty in the past. I mix them with live pothos. You can also try the foam lily pads.

Thanks finwin they eat more than my bloody oscars!!! Bought 200 pieces of duckweed thinking that the duckweed would grow more than they could eat but nope I was wrong they’ve nailed the lot

LOL I had 7 bunches of healthy guppy grass once. All eaten in a few days by either my oscar/severum/chocolate/bp. Never caught the culprit though!
