exodon advice?

If this is in the wrong place my sincere advance apologies, But how many exodons could i put in a 40 gal without they eating each other, secondly any tankmates that would survive and not be on borrowed time constantly?

i have 9 in a 50 gal. breeder. that's really the minimum number you should have. I could fit maybe 12 in this tank. I have pictus cats and bristle nose plecos in with them to pick up the scraps. the pictus stay hidden and never venture up to the "kill zone." any fish that goes there will get scales eatin or just plain ol' torn up.

Anyone else out there have these and how many would be suitable seeing the they will be in a species only tank
