I noticed this yesterday, and immediately moved him to a different tank.
The redness has cleared up a bit. WHen i first glanced i thought his face was chewed off, thats how red it was. The white cloudy layer is only on one side. SOrry for pic quality,
Have not checked water parameters, but the tank is well estblished, and filtered, not over stocked and is water changed weekly. Last water test done a couple weeks ago, was perfect., He lives in a 90 gallon, flitered by fx5. Tank mates are cichlids, clown loaches, pictus and a pleco. Hold his own, not bullied. He is left alone and frequently bullies the yellow labs lol.

He is now moved to a 23 gallon, with 4 juvie labs and 2 spotted rapheal cats, fliter by aqua clear 50 and fluval 305 until i can dtermine the problem and fix it

I did have ick in the tank acouple weeks ago, clown loaches. Not sure if that would have anything to do with this.
exodon breathing is abnormal, activity level down, which is actually how i noticed it. he was just staying still mid tank.
