Exodon paradoxus

i have been lookin into getting some Exodon paradoxus and need to get some info plz. i have a 55gal that i want to put them in and need to know how many to get and what the water parameters and temp should be. i have been keepin fish now for about 4 yrs and want to get something to replace what i have in this tank. any other sugestions would be great as well...thanx

thanks for the the help...i havent been on in about 7-8months so i get a little lost now, plus my 7 month old baby keeps me busy and its hard to type while im takin care of her

i think you could probably keep around 20-25 comfortably i have seen tanks of them where there are 15 in a 30 gallon. imo they need a little more room than that.
i am not sure on the water perameters though
 
I would say around 20 would be good in that size tank. I hear that they can get to 4 inches but I have never seen any that size, they are very active so it will seem like there is more!
 
Could a school of say 10+ be housed with polypterus? Assuming that the polypterus are not big enough to eat them? Or would the exodons go for their scales?
 
I love both of those species, but I would have to say yeah, they would go for the scales. It's a really easy target... Exodons are badass
 
just to let everyone know that the water should be neutral and about 72-80 temp..had to do some searchin for the info....thanks again for the help all..

and 15 sounds like the minimum number or you have major problems
