Hey man one of my smaller exodons has lost like all of the red and white color in its fins. Do you think its due to being bullied or could it possibly be sick? Its also spending most of its time near the top of the tank.

Thanks

the fin color can be due to any kind of stress. its not uncommon for the fins to lose some red . also, if its just one fish, its probably not sick.

increase your filtration ASAP. (until you do that, stick to 2 25-30% waterchanges a week)
make sure to feed them daily
and add some kind of hiding places. they like plants, so if you can add some live plants that would be best. driftwood would be good too. the smaller ones will need somewhere to retreat to when they get picked on.

I just got a sump running thats doing almost 600gph which is running concurrently with my fluval. I just added some bacteria booster so hopefully I can get the media in the sump colonized real quick. Thanks for the info on the fish, I think the runts are just gonna get picked to death by the bigger ones. Ill do a water change tomorrow. What kind of plants would you recommend using for cover, I'm tryin to do an amazon river theme tank so maybe I was thinking some amazon swords would look pretty cool.

I have low light lol, but im trying to upgrade that soon. Do you think i could grow swords and java moss with a really crappy floruescent light (apparently its a f19t8 bulb)?
