Exodon tetra legality in FL

are they considered piranah? or are they legal in FL?
 
Legal in FL. They are a characin but not a piranha. Pet stores will carry them but they are not a popular seller.

Just an observation, piranha are also characins, so are neon tetras and payara.
 
Very good observation Guppy but do notice I wrote that Exodons are "characins BUT not a piranha". I probably didn't make myself clear with that sentence then, but I meant to say that although they are characins like piranhas they are not piranhas.

So hopefully this post is a clarification of my previous one.

i cant believe they arent a popular seller. they are pissa lookin fish when they shoal and when they feed, it's pure entertainment.
