Exodons are wusses

I put 20 of them in a 130 gallon tank with 5 small African cichlids to keep their population in check. A year latter there are over a hundred cichlids so I have to break the tank down and get rid of all the cichlids. I like the exodons but they are FAR FAR from mini piranhas. They don't even bother baby fish. And to think I was worried about the plecos in the tank.

Could you send me some of those cichlids since you are breaking down the tank anyways?

Exodon behavior in a species only environment is a different story. Mine used to feed on rosie reds on the regular.

Yeah, I used to keep mine with a fahaka and they would snatch shrimp, feeders and other food up way before the puffer even knew what was going on. Luckily I could feed the puffer by hand, and feed him crayfish. I've been bitten a few times by these guys while reaching my hand in to clean.
