a mountain ..far far away
looking for dithers for my pbass .. i have one that hides alot and need something that might bring her out :D

will they nip fins or damage the pbass ?

pbass are 2x 5" and 1 is about 3 1/2" .... exodons would be about 2 1/2 "

thanks.

Not a good idea IMO. The exo's will nip and de scale the pbass. Maybe try some hujeta characins. Allthough they would not keep up with the pbass's growth rate.

best case scenario, you will loose some scales and have nipped fins before the pbass outgrows the exodons and makes them a snack.
worst case scenario, your pbass will quickly loose its eyes/scales/fins, and die on the floor of the tank.
either way, probably not a good idea.

youre probably better off going with TFB or some kind of SD as dithers.

Wouldn't the pbass eat some of the exos too?

doubt it...at this size it wouldnt eat the exos unless it was very hungry.
but the exos will kill it before it does anything to them....

I've never kept exos, but I saw them in a LFS destoying each other. There were about 20-30 fish in there.
Some sources on the web say they are only scale eaters. Do they actally rip prey apart like RBP?
