Hey everyone, I've been lurking here for a long time, first time poster.
I'm about to get some Exodons from Nate at Massive Aggression ($5/fish not a bad price!) and I'm just wondering how many I should get. From what I've seen, for a tank size like mine, I've heard everything from 5 fish in a 30gallon to 30 fish in a 30 gallon. Most people say it has to do with how good your filtration is, so here's my tanks current status:
29 gallon tank
1 Rena XP3 Canister filter (350 gph)
1 Coralife UV light (not in use at the moment, but it is set up)
Temp at 78 Degrees
Ph at 7.0 (tap water's ph)
moderate to heavily planted with 2 diftwood logs and some rocks for hiding spots
mostly sand with some gravel for substrate
Current fish: 1 Banjo catfish, 1 rubber lipped (bulldog) pleco
my tank's been cycled for 4 years, and use to house a single piranha, so the jump in bio-load may cause some issues, but I have amquel and amochips in case.
thanks for the help in advance!
