Exodons Legal In CA?

Can someone please help, Ive been trying to get this straightened out, I ordered some Exos from a known member, but he says they may be illegal
in CA, but ive seen and heard from few local stores here selling them. Also a
few websites sold them. Anyone from CA own some without problems or have bought some in CA? Please reply thanks.

thats what I found on fish and game but nothing where it says Exodons unless Im blind?

im not sure on there legality, but i jsut got a true monster exodon hes about 5 inches picked em up for 45 dollars last weekend at my lfs i was not planning on gettinf any more fish or tanks but i bought a new tank just for him and he was all set up that night. no cycleing required i have like 7 tanks up right now so i just borrowd some filter media from one of my many aquaclear 110s and hes very happy. i am truly happy with this fish hes all alone in a 29 and i think hes very beautiful and he never hides and is alwyas swimming and having fun. GREAT FISH! id get one

ok thank you guys, hope this clears it, I read the fish and game website, and it listed most of the obvious. But couldnt pick out them, and a store has some for sale right now
but at hefty price.

This may not always be true, but if a local LFS carries the fish, then its gotta be legal. I dont think any legit LFS will risk their business to sneak illegal fish.

^i promise i will get you the pic! i was very suprised he was the only exodon in a 300 gallon tank with all kinds of african cichlids none of the fish had prices so i had to wait till the manager got back from lunch. the exodon must have gotten big from being in a tank that big for a really long time because the store manager told me its just a display. and when people do ask how much they are shocked at the prices and run away. but yeah the fish is a true monster exodon and toniight i will try to get you the pic!!!!!!! how much are they going for in cali?

he was a little far away from the glass it was hard to get him to stand still . i know he looks four inches but its only because he wasnt closer
