Ok I was thinking of getting like 10 of these for a 36gal but wondering what filter would be good for them? What would be the cheapest one? How much are 10 exos?

You might be able to find a deal online for 10 Exodons around $50 plus shipping. They are usually $5-10 at the local fish stores depending on availability.
For filtration, it is all a matter a preference by brand and whether to get a hang on back (HOB) filter or canister filter (under the tank canister). I prefer a HOB filter and would use that in your case because of the tank size. And I as would about 50% of the other HOB filter users on here, would recommend AquaClear filters. There is a good amount of space for filter media which is easily changed, and it has adjustable flow rate. I have never had a problem with any of my 3 AC filters. I bought them based off what others on this site recommended. Also, over filtrate. Look for a filter for a 55-75 gallon tank. I recommend using ceramic bio media in place of carbon as well, once the tank is up and going. I only use carbon in my filters when I am treating a sick/new fish, or setting up and cycling a new tank.
