yes but they are so much better is you get a small school going very social fish! 40 gallon you could do like 6-8 of them I had 11 in a 55gallon did great

they will rip each other apart. they look cooler in schools too. if you have trouble finding any, look in the buy/sell. a couple dealers sell them.
