im buying a 1000 gal. tank with my college fund money(got a scholorship) I sent in a order for an epauIette shark when they get back in stock...and i just wanna hear some of you guys ideas of wat 2 get....mabey some sea turtles. . .

An Epaulette would be fine for that tank - given the dimensions. When adding other fish, be sure to forget about Angels, Butterflies, Puffers, Triggers and IMO, Lions. Sounds like this will be a killer setup.

Sea Turtles are illegal for you to keep. Try again.

First, do a LOT of reading. I'm guessing you've done none since you wanted to own a sea turtle.

1000 gallons is great for a couple eppies. Make it not so deep (24" at most) and more of a pond type setup. Sounds cool. Tank mates for sharks? Most eels are great with sharks, squirrel fish, groupers, some tangs are ok.

Sea turtle...haha, I wish! Even sea turtles in public zoos and aquariums belong to the US government. Even if it were legal they can get huge and live longer than you depending on the species and proper care. Nice dream though, it's one I share.

Yeah - your best choices for tank mates for an Eppie are as follows.

either a Stingray, Eel, Grouper, & Pilot fish(Jacks).
