Hello Everyone,

So I've been clearing out my CA Collection over the last few weeks in anticipation of the Tapajos II that I'm getting from Snookn21 tomorrow. They are being sold as a M/F pair so I'm hoping they are at least compatible but given their size at 7-8", i'm skeptical that they've truly bonded as a pair.

That being said, they are going into my 180 that still holds a few CA cichlids with a Female RTM that is 7 inches, a Chuco Microphthalmus that is 9", a trio of Loisellei that are 4-5", and a runt lent that got bullied in my other tank and is roughly 6 inches and thin.

I was hoping someone here would have some advice on the best way to proceed and if my set up is going to be alright. Pictures to come!

The runt lent would be the first to watch out for. Once a pike has setup territory, it get's harder to introduce another pike. The loisellei and the RTM will take a stab at those new pikes, but it may not be a sustained aggression if the pikes fight back.

It's going to take about 3-4 weeks for those 2 new pikes to really get comfortable, and if they were hiding before, you will really see them assert themselves to their tank mates.

With cichlids, there is no sure fire way that things will be alright.

Thanks Rocksor. After putting them in the tank, the male immediately squared off with the RTM and won thus immediately rocketing to the top of the pecking order. I put some PVC elbows in the tank to give some more hiding spots and am going to fatten them up over the weekend.

The fish came in great and this is now my 3rd order from John and I have to say, he is a SOLID vendor!

Dope pikes man! I love these guys their color is just something else. There are some individuals in the past I've read about that had insane crackhead level aggression. They're just plain cool pikes lol use the search bar and u can read all about them there's a wealth of info on this site
