Anyone with experience using a mixing valve? Or see any problems or suggestions/improvements to what I want to do? I am planning on using a mixing valve in my hot water tank room, run 3/4" hot and 3/4" in and then step it up to 1" out. Run a single 1" line along the floor joists then up through the wall (within the wall) to come out under and behind my tank. Thinking of having it come out in a washing machine box (where you would attach your washing machine hoses) so it is recessed back into the wall. He can then run a 2" drain pipe from that box and then down the inside of the wall, down the wall in the ground floor, then directly outside to drain to the ground. When draining water I can just stuff my hose into the drain pipe. Tank is a 300g with 75g sump. As the mixing valves are for human consumption I assume I don't need to worry about material they are made from? i.e. brass seems to be common.
