Those of you that own one of these guys do you ever see the fish? Mine is always hiding. Also will p. afer take to pellets?

mine is out all the time and will eat pellets but prefers tilapia
Haha.....I can attest to all of the previous comments.When my afers were young and new they would hide during the day and come out and prowl at night.In the morning I noticed that some of my fish had wounds and nipped fins.I no longer provide any hides for my current one so it is always prowling the tank and it eats just about whatever I feed it.It is now about eighteen inches in length and is pretty much peaceful towards it's tankmates.
