For the past couple of days, I've been battling a strange algae or bacterial bloom problem in one of my 75's containing a breeding pair of gold severums. I'm getting a stringy growth that is light, creamy, tan in color everywhere in the tank, that is making the water cloudy. I don't see how it can be a bad water quality issue. The tank is never overfed, water is changed regularly, and is over filtered, with good water turnover, no dead spots. Temp. 78 to 80. Ammonia 0. Nitrite 0. Nitrate below 10. It's filtered by an Ocean Clear 354 poly bead filter. This tank has been setup for over 3 years, and taken apart and cleaned top to bottom less than 6 months ago. Water was crystal clear as always until 2 days ago. I am at a loss as to what caused this. Fish are unaffected , and spawning, again! :D No other tank has this problem. The same water supply is used on all tanks. Water is from a well. I've dug out an old Aqua Clear from the garage, and filled it with micron pads and carbon, after another 90% water change. We'll see what happens. Any ideas as what triggered this?

I would like to see some pics before I speculate...:)
