Explain your profile name and pic!

How did y’all come up with the names for your profile, and why did you choose the pic to go with it?

For me, mine is named for my favorite fish, who I’ve nicknamed “Deadeye.” Originally called Treble, this Banded Leporinus got into a fight with a piranha resulting in the loss of most of his right eye…and hence the name was born.

My favourite fish of all time is the European Perch, but the fancy name for it is Perca Fluviatilis, a pretty naff name really for a magnificent fish. The northern pike is another favourite and Esox Lucius just sounds so much better, so that was me born.

My avatar picture is of my comedy heroes, Laurel and Hardy. My son is actually named, in part, after them. Daniel James Oliver Norville Stanley Jefferson (Oliver Norville Hardy and Stanley Jefferson, who later changed his name to Stan Laurel).

Favorite dog breed Australian Shepherd. Hence Aussieman & the pic of one of our dogs as a puppy. He's around 70 pounds now.

When I worked in NYC providing custom aquarium installation and maintenance anytime I would show up to a client the resounding announcement of "The fishguy is here" would be made. My entry into the world occurred in 1978. My start in the hobby was due to an interest in growing plants in an aquarium.

Completely unexciting and quite straight forward.
Around ten years ago I was fed up with going to weddings, nights out or parties and being “another Dave” and at the time, our sons were young as were most of the kids on the street. With this hobby I got known as “the fish man” by them and their parents and hence I took the name for my new login (and any future weddings as it’s better than Dave number two!)
As for my current avatar - well that’s the beast that rules my fish house, my 26-28” crystal eyed cat (H. wyckii).

Something else which we are overlooking, and is somewhat thrust upon us, though not by choice, is the fish name we have in our profiles. Mine currently being the "potamotrygon". I don't even like rays so I'll be glad to see the back of it when I next move up the MFK "ladder". I believe my next one will be the Goliath tigerfish, which is a little better, lol.

Ah, well, my name started out on IRC back in the mid 90s. I'd gotten a camera and was playing around in photoshop and took a picture of my dog(Black lab), and gave her two heads. So just for fun I decided to use the nickname "Two Headed Dog" in chatrooms. I was in some Babylon 5 chatrooms and the servers only allowed 9 character names, so "TwoHedDog" After a few months the name evolved a little bit and became TwoHedWlf. I've used that pretty much for the last 25 years or so.

And the avatar is is a picture of a male weta I found in my yard a few years ago.

Mine is because of my favourite lizard being the Frilled Neck Lizard Chlamydosaurus kingii, and it’s the same on this forum because I already have used the name on other forums.

It all started in 2000. I was playing Diablo 2 and making my first Necromancer. That's the name I gave him and started using myself.
And the pic is of course my guy Casper, doing what he does best, trying to bite the hand that feeds him
